Letters aren't a part of our routine anymore, but they played a key role
in the life and culture of the early church, and perhaps none more than
Paul's letter to the Romans. It is arguably the most influential letter
ever written, certainly in the history of Christianity. It is the
source of myriad conversions, doctrines, and even a reformation. Augustine was converted reading its 13th chapter. Martin Luther said he
felt "reborn" upon reading the letter and found his theological
furniture rearranged. John Wesley felt his heart "strangely warmed" and
started a global church movement. Don't underestimate its power to
change you.
