King David is gone. But God promised that David's throne would endure forever. David's successors are a mixed bag with only a few that would seem suitable to take the throne, but certainly not eternally. When the prophet Isaiah speaks, he proclaims that God's "Help Wanted" sign for a suitable king still hangs. The good news is that God personally responds to his “Help Wanted” sign for a true and better king.
