Serve the City Chesapeake began in 2008 with six churches serving in the three neighborhoods. Since then, it has greatly expanded and now includes many churches serving in various ways across the City of Chesapeake. Centerpoint Community Church was one of the first six churches to participate in Serve the City Chesapeake. Our initial focus was on the Crestwood community where, in partnership with First Baptist Church South Hill, we performed house repair, yard work, and visitation. Over time, the focus of our service projects shifted somewhat from the neighborhood to the Crestwood schools. After a 2-year break caused by the COVID pandemic, we are once again preparing to serve the City of Chesapeake. Our primary focus moving forward will be at B. M. Williams Primary School. Below are some ways you can get involved.

Help us beautify B. M. Williams Primary School in preparation for the beginning of the school year. We will be performing multiple service projects to prepare the campus including landscaping, power washing, and bench demolition and we will help the B. M. Williams' teachers get their classrooms ready for the start of school.

When: Friday, 8/26 and Saturday, 8/27 from 9AM-1PM
